2008 Wimbledon Championships

The Schedule of Play will be published on the Wimbledon website the day before play is due to take place. A partial Schedule of Play (for the Show Courts) is usually released around 7pm—8pm, with the full Order of Play released after all matches on all courts have been completed (usually between 9.30pm—10.30pm).

The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. The largest annual international team competition in sport[1], the Davis Cup is run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested between teams of players from competing countries in a knock-out format.
The competition began in 1900 as a challenge between the United States and Great Britain. In 2005, 134 nations entered teams into the competition.
The United States is the most successful nation to date, winning 32 tournaments and finishing as runners-up 29 times. Australia is the second most successful, winning 28 times and finishing second 18 times.
Roddick was on the victorious United States Davis Cup team when it won the 2007 Davis Cup. Roddick defeated Dmitry Tursunov of the Russian Davis Cup team, the defending champions, in the finals.
